Easy Apple Crumble

Last Friday I (finally!) bought an oven! I hardly can’t imagine how I’ve lived till now without one :) Yesterday I made muffins (plain vanilla ones) and today I’ve made apple crumble. I didn’t have many ingredients here so I looked for something to make with the things I had, and this was the result!

Ingredients: 2 apples, 150 gr sugar, 150 gr flour and 150 gr butter
Preparation: Mix the sugar, flour and butter together. Dice the apple in small pieces and divide in small bowls. Put the crumble mixture over the apples and put the bowl in the oven for 15 minutes at 180°

Museum Night Fever

So Saturday evening my boyfriend and I went to Museum Night Fever in Brussels. We arrived there at 7, got our museum passes and some info and went into the city.
We went to the BelVue Museum, the Bosar and an other museum about Brussels and ‘Manneke Pis’ :) But most of the time we just walked around, and we bought cookies at ‘La Cure Gourmade’
We really had a fun night and it was nice to be in Brussels, it was a while since the last time I was there

Did you had a nice weekend?

Super duper delicious soup!

Yesterday I found this recipe so this morning I went to the market to buy some fresh vegetables and made this very delicious soup!

Here’s the recipe:

Ingredients: 4 paprikas (I used 3 red and one yellow), 3 big tomatoes, 2 courgettes, 1 vegetable stock, pepper and salt (and other spices you like), 1 box of herb cheese (I used Boursin Cuisine with herbs, it’s the best) en 1 liter water

How to prepare: cut the vegetables into small chunks, put them in a kettle with enough butter and stove them for about 10 minutes, and add the salt and pepper. Then add the water and vegetable stock and let it simmer for 30 minutes. Mix it all together add the cheese, and your delicious soup is ready! Enjoy!

Watched Rapunzel

And I really liked it! It was very funny, especially the chameleon and the horse. And it was also a bit romantic with a lot of singing :)

Plans for the weekend

I’ve won something (for the first time in my life)! :) And I didn’t even had to do anything for it, I just had to send a mail with my name (and the name of a friend)
So Saturday my boyfriend and I will go to Museum Night Fever In Brussels. It’s an event where all the museums will be open till after midnight, and there’s even an after party!
So what I won are two museum passes and transport for going and returning. I really look forward to this, not for the museums in particular but it’s just going to be a night out for the two of us in Brussels (I wanted to go there for a while so this is a good opportunity)

Tomorrow evening we’re going to get my oven (I bought one so I can finally bake something!)
And Sunday we have to go to a birthday party of my boyfriends nephew, that’ll probably be fun to. I love

Last weekend (on Saturday) my boyfriend and I went to two museums. One was the Museum Of Fashion and the other was Z33, which mostly shows contemporary art. And here are some pictures!

Tea for one

Blergh! I hate exams (especially the studying part)! But I love the breaks :)
I’ve made myself some tea and I’m going to sit on the couch and read for a little while.
Think of me on Friday from 9 to 12! I really hope it goes well!

Valentine gift for my boyfriend

Hoping he won’t look here until tomorrow, I might show you what I’ve made.
I cleaned out two glass jars, decorated  and filled them.
The one on the left is filled with (16) heart shaped coupons (such as ‘breakfast in bed’, ‘a movie with popcorn’, candlelight dinner’, …) and the one on the right with heart shaped candy and chocolates. And I also bought a chocolate lollipop.
And I included some Valentine lottery tickets and a cute card inside the bag I put everything in.
Although we’re celebrating Valentine’s Days next weekend I’m planning on giving him this present this evening or tomorrow. And I hope he likes it!

What do you think? And did you make/buy something?

Buddyyyyy!! I sent your letter off yesterday. I'm going to do a test run, and let me know when you get it. Then I'll ship off the glorious package you've had to wait much too long for. I hope that almost spring is treating you well:) PS- If you were wondering where it's coming from, Canada!! I swear our stuff is delivered by dog sled it takes so long to get everywhere. So sorry about that. :)

Canadaaaa?! :) That’s great! And I really hope the dogs do their work right and deliver me something this time! I’m still looking forward this it buddy! Have a nice week! xx

Easy microwave pie

As as said and showed here before about my ‘cake in a mug’ an ‘egg in a mug’
(both microwave recipes) it’s time for something new!
Microwaveable apple pie! I came across the recipe when I was searching some easy desserts,
to make, and voila! Here it is!
It may not look very good, but it tasted really good!

image

And for all the kitchen princes and princesses, here’s the recipe:
Ingredients: 1 apple, 40 gr sugar, 60 gr flour and 1 egg
Directions: Dice the apple and put it in a greased microwave bowl. Mix the egg in an other bowl until ‘fluff’, add sugar and mix again and add flour and mix all together. Then pour this over the apples. Put a lid over the bowl and put it in the microwave for about 5-10 minutes, it depends on how fast your microwave is.
Check the dough in between by poking in a toothpick. if it comes out clean the pie is done!
Tips from experience: Mix the egg/sugar/flour mixture together with the apples. And it’s better to have a lot of apples, it makes the pie not so dry

Love, Jukon
